The first preprint from the Cotney lab on Human Craniofacial Epigenomics is out now on Biorxiv.org. Comments and suggestions are welcomed!
Dr. Stefan Blankvoort from the lab of Dr. Cliff Kentros at Trondheim University visits the Cotney lab to learn ChIP-Seq in small amounts of brain tissue. He will be visiting during the months of April and May.
Dr. VanOudenhove joins the Cotney lab after completing her PhD with Dr. Gary Stein at UMass Medical School and the University of Vermont Medical School.

Following first year rotations Andrea Wilderman has joined the lab to do her thesis research.
Dr. Justin Cotney awarded a new five-year, $1,993,750, grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences for his project entitled: “Unraveling mechanisms of genome regulation to understand and improve human health”.

The Cotney Lab would like to welcome Jeffrey Kron. He will be working as a Research Assistant 2 and supporting a number of projects in the lab.
My lab is officially open for business and looking for a few talented scientists to join my group. I will be accepting applications from Postdoctoral candidates for both experimental and computational positions. I will be accepting Graduate Students from UConn Storrs and UConn Health for rotations beginning in the fall of 2015. Excited to announce I will be joining the faculty of the UConn Health as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences and the Institute for Systems Genomics. I will be starting my lab there in mid 2015 and will be actively recruiting researchers, postdocs, and graduate students in the coming months.
